Tyrian episodes and levels
Tyrian 2000 tells its story over five episodes. Each one is a chain of levels linked by shops, with branching routes, secret exits and difficulty-specific variants. Everything on these pages is read from the episode scripts and level files that ship with the game.

How the campaign flows
Between two levels you land in a shop. There you spend your credits, read the data cubes picked up in the previous level, then choose the next destination when the episode offers more than one. A few rules shape the route:
- Branches. Some shops let you pick between two planets, for example Asteroid 1 or Asteroid 2 after the first level of episode 1.
- Secret exits. Some levels hide a special item. Pick it up and the game sends you to a secret level after the current one (the game shows Warping to secret level!).
- Difficulty variants. A few levels exist in two versions, one for Easy and Normal and one for Hard and above. Episode 3 even continues with three extra levels when you play on Hard or higher.
- Bonus games. At the end of episodes 1 and 4 a shop asks whether you have the special ship. Its Next Level menu lists Soh Jin, shown as Bonus Game on the map, and Skip It. Soh Jin starts the bonus game: Zinglon's Ale in episode 1, Zinglon's Squadrons in episode 4, or Time War if you finish episode 4 flying The Stalker 21.126.
The game's own level select screen reports “Levels in Episode 1:17 2:12 3:12 4:20”. Those counts follow the original release and do not include episode 5 or every variant listed here.
